  Nice scenery on the bike leg, the run is by a lake so very pleasant. However, run was narrow in places and bike leg included an uphill stint on dual carriageway which was very scary for a beginner tri. That said, both were well signposted. The pool was an absolute b** fight, far too many competitors. A disappointment only matched by the Transition area which was roughly 1/3rd the size it should have been and lead to delays in transition. Information pack was confusing advising not to rack bike until 20 mins before start but also that you must be pool side 15 mins before start for briefing - how is this possible? Also advised that you MUST wear their swim hat, but you could wear your own if you wanted? They've been running this even for 4 years so I expected more from the organisation.
