Despite the temperature, on the hottest day of the year so far, there were some great finishing times and some delighted competitors with PBs at this year's Crystal Palace Triathlon on Sunday 18 May.

541 competitors completed  the sprint race, having completed a 750 metre swim in the 50m pool at the Nationals Sports Centre, a 9-lap 20k cycle around a closed circuit within the park and a 2-lap 5k run, finishing on the Crystal Palace Athletics Track. The adult event was then followed by the Youth, TriStar 3,TriStar 2, TriStar 1 and TriStart races.

1st place honours went to the host club, Crystal Palace Triathletes with Rob Parry (01:06:49) beating last year's winner, Gary Laybourne by just five seconds.
